Building an Order Management System and Website for Ordered Australia

The challenge

Ordered Australia faced a unique challenge: they required an order management system that catered specifically to their boutique import services. Their process involves high-touch, consultative engagements rather than simple transactions, but there was no off-the-shelf platform that met their needs. They needed a custom solution that allowed their clients to track and manage orders in real time, with stages like manufacturing, customs, and shipping updates, while maintaining a seamless experience with their public website.

The solution

We implemented a hybrid approach to build the perfect solution for Ordered Australia:

Back-End: Fully serverless using AWS API Gateway and DynamoDB, ensuring high scalability and minimal costs.

This solution allows Ordered Australia's clients to log in, track the progress of their orders, upload/download attachments, and receive real-time updates. Meanwhile, the order management system gives Ordered Australia the tools to manage and update every stage of their orders efficiently.
